Cultural Experience or Animal Rights Attrocity?
So this will be very short. Just had to say that I went to a cock fight. I was very conflicted about the whole thing and still am. I saw three roosters die. I also saw a transvestite dancing with a man with no legs. It was an interesting evening to be sure. I did not pay to get into the cockfight so at least there is that. I also did not bet or anything. I feel like I am confessing something terrible here. I need feedback. Am I a terrible person?

you went to a cockfight? WOW i bet that was quite the experience. Were you the only girl there?? As for the animal rights attrocity, I don't think animals have any right anywhere outside the U.S. It sucks, but it is what it is. I remember there was this one time i got off the microbus in Jinotepe and there was this kid beating the crap out of this piglet, cause i guess the piglet wouldn't shut up. As i saw that, there was a man riding a bike with a piglet strapped to the back of the bike..... so don't worry, it seems like you were there for the cultural experience. So are you a vegeterian now?
I went to a bullfight in Spain once and had the same conflict. It's a cultural experience. The chicken on your plate (in the US at least) went through far, far more pain and suffering than those cocks did. It's the way of the food chain. Just hum "The Circle of Life" from the Lion King to yourself and you'll feel okay.
